FSR or non-tactile membrane switch
« on: September 22, 2022, 11:48:51 pm »
I bought one of these for an Arduino project and was convinced that this is a 'a series of non-tactile membrane switches' but then after messaging the 3rd party seller, he told me it was 'thin-film contact sensors'.

I then searched for "thin-film contact sensors' and found out its simply another word for "Force Sensing Resistors" or "tactile pressure sensor" or "tactile force resistor"

Am I right, is he's right, are we're both talking about the same thing and are confused about synonyms , or is neither of us is right?

James

I think the seller is right. Usually, matrix keypads are called membrane switches. It does not look like FSRs either.
