FTDI 232 is used as device, what equivalent for host

1. To send data to PC from MCU via USB, generally FTDI232 is ineterfaced which act as device.
2. I need to interface pen drive now with MCU, what equivalent uart to usb bridge I can use.

There is something called the CH376S that might work.
