Global/Local fiducial and PCB size
« on: September 22, 2021, 07:42:40 pm »
I'm working on the PCB that will be later used to populate through pick and place (OpenPNP based) machine

Please refer to attached image where I setup local fiducials in lower corner and upper corner at 3mm from each side X, Y this is what i learned through web site resources, I just want to ensure if that sounds good?

My next PCB will contain repetition of this (may be its called PCB block that contains related PCBs on one block) I want to know in that case should i put global fiducials only on the border only or local are also required? for global fiducial what are the requirements like how may and where it should be located?

my last question is what is the recommended PCB block size for professional PCBA companies like if want it to be done by JLCPCB

It's an interesting question, but the wrong one for us.
You need to ask your PCB assembly subcontractor.

Last section of my question where i asked for PCB block size could be asked to PCBA

but for local/global fiducial could be standard.
