hi

i need to replace caps on a tv and a few are under a heat sink  and i need to desolder the heat sink,
but my 30 watt soldering iron is not going to do it.
i am looking at xytronic soldering station lf-1600. (80 watt)
is that high enough

I think that it all depends on the thermal mass and the quality of the soldering iron.
If you only have to manage that job once, you may look at something build yourself of the high heat type.
Even if I appear online is it not necessary so, my computer is on 24/7 even if I am not on.

Its just yet another Hakko 900 series clone...
You may find it good, but after using cartridge based systems (Hakko T12 and JBC) i would not consider to buy it anymore.
