Technomaniac:
I use Inox for preserving tools, and I have a trigger pack on one lathe, using as a cutting lube, but I can't recommend the trigger pack, it dribbles and isn't a reliable squirt. Inox is a handy squirt for all sorts of things.

Never heard of Inox...   Which of their products do you use?

"Inox" is deeply confusing as a name for a specific product. In parts of the world "Inox" is shorthand for "Stainless Steel" (An old trade name I believe, used generically like "Hoover").

If no one has cited it so far, I am a loyal user of Ballistol Oil.

This product was developed in Germany to lubricate and protect guns but is ideal for many applications, including tool maintenance.

It is not an odorless product, but the odor is not unpleasant.

It has the advantage over regular oil of leaving a durable protective layer.
