Title: Good magnetometer for the esp32
Post by: Rapidice on February 06, 2021, 03:53:14 pm
Hi,
For the project, I'm currently working on I am looking for a magnetometer. For my prototype, I have used an HMC5883L(breakout board), which worked pretty well. Now, I would like to design a PCB. For this reason, I am looking for a magnetometer(SMD), which is similar to the HMC5883L and would work with an ESP32(3.3v). I would prefer to buy it from lcsc.com, which is where I buy most of my components. I don't need this specific one, just one that is easy to use (and preferably have an arduino library).
Thanks

You know ESP32 has an internal Hall effect sensor?
Did you try that for your application?

I want to use the sensor as a compass, to measure the robot's rotation, for which the internal hall effect sensor is not accurate enough.
