i have just bought my first oscilloscope a top tronic 20mgh dual trace t200 hardley been used in it life but it did not come with a manual have spent a long time googleing with no joy can any one help please :'(
-
Why do you need a manual? I presume all the buttons are labeled? It will work just like any other basic oscilloscope, just look for a scope tutorial and follow it. Or is it broken?
-
Are you looking for specific functionality? I bet if you tell us what you want to measure and you post a picture of the controls, we can help you.
-
Please show a picture of the scope. It's likely rebadged.
-
im after a basic manual on the scope so i know what it is capable of
-
We don't have the manual, but show us a picture and we'll tell you what its capabilities are.

300v probe
Tidy contition, Used only once.

So is it the second scope on this (http://archive.siliconchip.com.au/cms/A_106220/article.html) page?
-
Some introductory material:
NJARC Oscilloscope School a.k.a. "Scopes For Dopes" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZKMrzTGxLQ#ws)
Alan Wolke (who taught most of that class) made a whole lot more tutorials that I highly recommend:
https://www.youtube.com/w2aew (https://www.youtube.com/w2aew)
And a detailed written introduction by Tektronix:
Tektronix XYZs of using a scope (http://www.seas.gwu.edu/~ecelabs/appnotes/PDF/Anascope/Intro.pdf)
Figuring out the controls is trivial once you understand the basics.

A lot of low to mid-range analog scopes are rebadged Pintek or Hung Chang. Even some of the well known brands like BK Precision used some rebadged Pintek scopes.
