Is it possible that these high end models from early 90s, even tho costly then, do not support something as simple as an eye pattern?
I have recently purchased a Gould DSO 4092 oscilloscope , rebranded as Siemens Oscillar D1052 , and simply can not find any settings relating to getting a proper Eye diagram for checking Compact Disk players and etc.
What ive read is that digital oscilloscopes , older ones, do not have this, and that newer ones use something called persistence (I guess it just keeps the trace on the screen for a little while longer after drawing it).
Should I sell this thing and get an analog scope , there is one Hitachi V-1085A here I can get.
