I would be surprised if you are able to copy firmware from one to another. We had this problem on a fleet of deployed Connor Winfield units in some physics equipment. The tech people came up with a firmware update procedure we could use in the field, but step one was downloading the appropriate firmware update file from the Connor Winfield manufacturer site.

A cursory search didn't reveal a download site for your device. Perhaps you'll have more luck?

thanks.
I didn't receive a notification and I just saw your answer.
I know that this is a real problem, and many manufacturers,
even GARMIN/Apple didn't solve it.
although garmin may have already decided,
I have'nt such models.

Are you sure it's Juniper, not Jupiter?

If it's Jupiter, I found this which may or may not be helpful.

http://gps.0xdc.ru/static/sirf/doc/SirfStar/gpsd.berlios.de/vendor-docs/jupiter/LA010105A_TimingAppSoftware_AppNote.pdf

It says it uses the Zodiac GPS chipset, and I found this on it -

https://www.gpskit.nl/documents/rockwell/zodiac.pdf

Maybe it can provide useful leads to update it?

It may be possible to find a way to update the time yourself, but it may not remember the change. I found some info in the appendix of this page. http://www.jrmiller.demon.co.uk/projects/ministd/faq.html
