Greetings to the forum from the high desert of New Mexico USA! I've fiddled around with electronics since forever, and went through coursework at the local community college way back when the 8086 was the newest thing around.
I'm putting together some bits and pieces to get a proper lab up and running. I scored a Tektronix 2213 CRO a couple of years ago for a measly five bucks! Works like a champ after some basic cleanup. A Haako soldering station is on the way from Amazon.
I've run across what seems a decent deal on a Lambda LPT-7202-FM bench power supply that looks to be in pretty good shape. I have no idea if it works, but the surplus joint I frequent usually checks things out and notes if there are problems. This probably came from Los Alamos National Laboratory, or Sandia Labs.
This thing is rated 0-7V at 5A, and two times 0-20V at 1.5A. I downloaded the service manual and it looks pretty basic and straightforward.
Is this worthwhile for $125 Yankee Bucks? Seems worth it to me since I found a refurbished one on ebay at close to $400 with shipping. Even if it's a fail, should be good learning material and junk bin parts.
What do y'all think?
Thanks in advance!

How much it's worth is a value judgment. If you can afford it and can't find a better deal, then I guess it is worth the money. I presume you have scanned the web and found the best price, so go for it.
Unless the power transformer is bad, the unit is repairable I am sure. I don't think you'll find many, if any, proprietary parts in it that you might have to replace. Maybe the vendor will guarantee the transformer.

That is an OK to slightly high price for a working unit in good condition. Too high for a broken one.

You need to look at sold items.

It uses the FBT-00-031/MC1466L which is kind of scarce and expensive these days. On the other hand, they rarely fail.
