Hi all I have cleaned up the entire fascia (looks like new) remove all dust from outside/in. I have cleaned all the pots and switches and put it back together. Switched it on and all is well. I don't have any probes yet they arrive tomorrow so here's a question for you. Whats the first things I should do when I get my probes to test the scope or calibrate things? Regards |
| CJay:
Check the 'scope works, that it trigger, that you can compensate the probes, get used to using it. |
| JCEEVBLOG:
That you can compensate the probes? Is that the same as attaching them to the test point on the scope? I will get googling as this is all new to me :-) |
| CJay:
Honestly? The best thing you can do is read the manual, Hameg do good manuals with lots of info in them. Probe compensation is adjusting the probes so the 'scope displays a square wave from the test point on the front of the 'scoope. |

Yes I read that in the manual before I saw your post so appreciate your comment. Am on the case and regards the start of your post 'honestly' this is all new to me 100% as I am sure you wouldn't know where to start regards setting up a new Windows domain with Exchange/SharePoint and SQL servers etc.etc.!!
