Hosiden HLM8302 display
« on: January 10, 2019, 12:43:28 pm »
Does anyone have any information on this LCD display please?

I couldn't find a datasheet and my internet searches so far have drawn a blank. I reviewed Dave's video on hacking a display where he was able to identify its inputs and drive it with an Arduino which provided was helpful ideas. I have identified some of the basics, for example GND and LED strip power supply pins and what looks like 12 bus pins. There are 3 other pins to identify. Once will be VCC, probably on pin1. The chip on the back is not marked except with the characters 7L2 which again draw a blank.

There is no indication of what voltage it may require so I don't want to apply power to it other than perhaps testing the LEDs until I know a bit more.

I believe it came out of some radio and I was hoping that I could make use of it for something.
