Hello my dear experts!
I am trying to repair this ilumination sensor from a Xerox scanner system.
This sensor gives information to the controller about the intensity of the scanner light (Value: 1 to OFF and 50 to 150 to ON).
This sensor have only 2 wires and with the voltimeter it gives roughly 14v. I don´t know how it "sends" the value to the controller.
My main question is if anyone can tell me what the indicated component is. Is seems some sort of photoresistor?
I send the photo with the component protection and without.
Thank you in advance from Portugal!

Photodiode stack, i.e. a tiny solar cell?
