Help me in finding error in maxwell theorem
« on: July 15, 2014, 03:51:38 pm »
I have attached a circuit.
I have to measure voltage across load. I have used maxwell method to solve this.

Problem is voltage across load comes out to be negative since current I2 that I have calculated comes out to be negative.

However while simulation in multisim result is positive voltage.
However magnitude is same in both case but I get error in sign.

I don't know where I am doing error?

Look at the 2k resistor. Look at the direction of the current flow in the loops that you have drawn. Look at the sign of the voltage that you have drawn on each side of the resistor for each loop. Is it all correct without any reversal between loop 1 and loop 2?

i2 < i1, so the second loop equation is wrong.
It should be 2000 (i1-i2).
