help needed nidec 24v motor
« on: February 15, 2019, 04:28:33 pm »
Hi all,
new to this forum. If I'm not in the right place please let me know.
I have a Nidec 24v motor which I believe came out of an old fax machine. It has 6 wires going into the circuit board, can anybody tell me how I can connect it to a 24v supply.

Thanks DD

You can start by reading.
If you read the label you can see "DC24V".

Then look at the PCB.
The connector has nice labels on them.
Do you understand the text next to those labels?

There is also a piece of aluminimum screwed onto the PCB.
Under that Aluminimum is a chip.
That chip is the motor controller.
It's very likely you feed it 24V dc and some logic signals.
Look up the datasheet of that chip and you will probably have more information about controlling your motor than you need or even want to know.
