DT24P Battery Monitor USB Needed.
« on: October 27, 2021, 11:42:29 am »
I got this  DT24P battery monitor with Bluetooth I'm using for my electronic load I'm building .I would like to add a USB interface to log data  . My laptop has no Bluetooth . I could just get a BT dongle but would really like the USB in the final build.
I'm not 100% sure exactly what I need to do but I'm thinking I need a UART to USB bridge ( USB to serial UART interface ) ? Something like the FT232RL . Would that be the right direction?

I figured out some of the pins and kind of understand what they do . The Blue tooth module is a JDY-23 . The MCU is unknown but suspect its a PIC . I think the 5 connections beside the MCU are for programming .

At the bottom of the PCB are 5 connections I think I can connect a bridge to . They are labelled on the picture as VCC 3V3 , GND , TX RXD , RX TXD , and pin 28
.TX RXD has a signal I took a picture of with the scope .  The signal is coming from the MCU  TX  Pin 22 . The RX TXD connection is set High at 3V3 . The Pin 28 is low at 0V . This set the STAT on the blue tooth but I don't think I need that for USB . So I think I only need the first 4 connections.

Am I going in the right direction with all this ?
