Help to find the correct pins on Atom C2000 board
« on: October 21, 2021, 10:28:02 pm »
Hey folks, I have a 10Gbps network switch that stopped booting and I think it got the infamous Intel Atom C2000 bug. Reading around it seems its possible to fix by putting a pull-up resistor between pins "LPC_CLKOUT0" and "3.3V".

The switch is totally dead so I thought I might as well give it a try but I'm having trouble finding the right pins. I'm attaching some pictures. This PCB is part of another main PCB responsible for switch port offloading. I also found a PDF which shows off a very similar board but I'm not sure it's exactly the same.

You need to find something on the LPC bus to get the signal. If the board has a TPM or connector for one, that would probably be the easiest. According to the third image (strange that your images showed up only after I clicked Reply - I was going to tell you that you didn't have any) it could have a TPM, so see if you can find it on the board.

Strange about the images, here are direct links if other people are having the same problem:

EDIT: Looks like it's automatically embedding imgur links, so copy/paste above links should work if anyone else is having issues.

Thanks for the TPM suggestion, I will take a look!
