Title: help to identify some components
Post by: raffs on October 13, 2015, 03:24:31 pm
Hello Masters!

Could you please, help me to identify these little components (marked in red)?
This is the D-Link DSC-930L Ip camera's back view. I believe this is the power rectification portion.
I Googled for the labels but google brings me nonsense results (maybe custom?).

The labels are:
10 leads IC => "A E-DH S13"
5 lead (SOT-23?) => "DS-P0R"

regards,

The SOT-23 package seems to be a 1.5V LDO.

Datasheet: http://www.s-manuals.com/pdf/datasheet/r/t/rt9193_richtek.pdf (http://www.s-manuals.com/pdf/datasheet/r/t/rt9193_richtek.pdf)

Can't find anything on the larger chip, but I would guess it's some sort of DC-DC converter IC.

Maybe you could probe the pins to get an idea? Just be careful not to short anything.

ion, thanks for the datasheet.

This camera do not work anymore.
I'm learning electronics yet and unfortunately I don't know from where to start troubleshooting this camera.
Taking into account where this camera was installed (the mains voltage varied widely), I think some part of the power circuit burned.
This camera uses the IC http://www.ipassion.com.tw/pdf/DSH_iP2970_1.2.pdf (http://www.ipassion.com.tw/pdf/DSH_iP2970_1.2.pdf) which runs at 3.3v.
I tested the 38th pin (iP2970), it should be at 3.3v but it was at 0v.
Indication that the dc-dc converter is probably fried?

Thats a possibility, Have you checked the output of the power supply without connecting it to the board ?(if mains had issues I expect that to go first).
