Help, which model of op amp is this?
« on: March 03, 2024, 06:12:38 am »
Repairing a DP-50 differential probe. The chip model is polished. Please help. Does anyone know the chip model?
The left model is unknown, and the right model is speculated to be AD811

lol. it might help if you tell us the package, maybe reverse engineer the circuit a bit, identify rail voltage, and maybe even take a picture

How about you just design your own product rather than try to copy someone else's.

It's damage repair, not copying

Then buy a new one. The last thing you want is to repair it and find that it is still not repaired properly and it does not give give you correct results but you don't realize it.

While this is a strange thread to begin with, that comment is insane considering what this forum is all about..... Did you just tell that guy to NOT repair a piece of equipment and just buy a new one instead??

Given what I have seen of other posts and the fact that we were supposed to identify the chip from a crudely drawn block diagram this person is probably not skilled enough yet to repair anything. What do you use when you repair stuff? test equipment by any chance? can you trust that equipment and if so why. Would you trust something that is a piece of test equipment repaired by someone that was not able to repair it properly? So why are we all wasting our time on this?

If the OP had drawn a picture of Simon in this thread it would look like this:

And you make my point very well. If someone showed you that picture and asked you to find the person, would you ever identify me? that is how pointless the question was.  :-DD

I have checked many models of operational amplifiers, but there is no indication that the 3 or 6 pins are connected to the power supply. This operational amplifier is very unique, and I think it is easy to find which model it is from the power pin
Just uploaded the circuit diagram and see if it's helpful

At first glance, it might be AD8137 or similar.
