Assistance with xcircuit drawing app required.
« on: May 18, 2019, 04:02:25 am »
I have downloaded xcircuit, read the first part of the user manual, and started to draw a simple circuit.
However, I have been unable to find a wider range of component in the library, (or another library?) other then what is shown in this limit range in the included library.
Can someone offer advice of how to find more component symbols to include in my circuit?
I only want the more common ones like triac, mosfets, regulators (such as TN431 etc.).

Jim.

I would recommend you use DipTrace or KiCad instead.
After you build the circuit, you can proceed to laying out a PCB for manufacture.
All parts and 3-D view of PCB for review.

Ok thanks.
I will look at them now.

Edit: I found KiCad in the Linux Mint repository. Quick installation.
