HiI have a problem with my sony hd projector, there seems to be a green pixilated blob forming at the side of the image. Ive done some research and think it could be the lcd unit beginning to fail the blob started about 5 pixels wide but it is gradually getting bigger. Any info on cause and how to get it repaired would be appreciated.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yes, you have an LCD failure. The straight line at the top of your blob is a crack in the LCD.

Thanks for your reply, do you have an idea what it would cost to repair this?
