Title: High Input and Output Voltages L200
Post by: matty-q on May 06, 2014, 12:33:26 pm
Hi Guys,

Could someone Explain what the "L200 HIGH INPUT AND OUTPUT VOLTAGE" figure does? I have been told to use it for my subject. I have read about it but I would like more information.

Figure 26 on the link:   http://www.circuitstoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/l200.pdf (http://www.circuitstoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/l200.pdf)

I have a 100 VA, 30V secondary, 3300 uF Capacitor and a bridge rectifier which has the values Forward Current: 4A,Forward Voltage: 1V.

Thanks Matthew

Of course we're not going to do your homework for you!  You won't learn anything that way.  Tell us what you've figured out yourself already.  What are you stuck on?  Can you see what affect the VZ zener diode is having on the operation of the regulator?  If you show us that you've thought about this and have an understanding of how the basic regulator works, then we might give you a hint or two to help you figure the rest of it out.
