What is this?
« on: May 28, 2015, 02:11:55 am »
I removed this from an old board with some really old and large resistors. To my untrained eye it looks like a tunable air coil or is it just a plain old potentiometer? If it is a coil is there anyway to check the inductance?  Thanks

yup, standard, old-fashioned WW pot. Rather coarse winding, but standard nonetheless.

It is an old-school wire-wound trimmer pot.  Probably 100 ohms or lower.
Not designed to be usable as an inductor.
