Hi!
I have a Samsung UN40D6000XFZA version H302 that has vertical lines and I am trying to understand what is wrong with the TV. I do not believe the T-CON board is bad. If I unplug one of the two cables that leave the T-CON board and go to the edge driver PCBs (I believe that's what they're called), half the picture on the TV disappears. The lines are on both halfs of the LCD panel, and are almost symmetrical.
I thought maybe the cables which I believe are called COF (Chip on Film) cables, that leave those edge driver PCBs and get connected to the panel itself had some issues. I think they use ACF (Anisotropic Conductive Film) to attach these cables. I tried pushing on the cables light like, while the TV was on, to see if anything changed, and nothing happened.
Could someone help me understand what exactly is causing these vertical lines, and perhaps confirm that I am use the correct names for the various boards and cables? I have uploaded some pictures.
Thanks!
