How to Connect DS1309b to SimmCom 5320 using uart
« on: September 12, 2017, 03:29:46 am »
Hello Electronic Enthusiasts I would like to ask something about how to connect DS1309b to Sim5320 using UART and reading the Data from DS1309b..  the output that I read would in the attached picture.. I have used Putty to see what are the data that DS1309b has. But when I have connected DS1309b to simcom5320 using UART it send nil value or Null value. By the way I am using Lua script on SimmCom 5320, because it is the default application. Please consider my question. I am a newbie.

I assume you are connecting the parts directly so they meet logic levels
of the two chips.

Is baudrate, start, stop, parity bits same for both ends of link ?

Yes I have connected it correctly and I have set the Baud rate permanently in the program to read the output of the DS1309b. However I have been asking for documentation from the Manufacturer, but they are not responding at the moment. I have search for documentation of the product, but it directs me on the seller site.. Thanks for replying..
