As long as you've thought it through, I have no problem.  In any case, I'm sure you will be testing it thoroughly at some point to make sure it all works as expected.

I really appreciate you pushing back, because I've never done this before. Making a product for sale has been the hardest thing I've ever done--harder even than having children  :D

And our conversation can be something other newbies can learn from.

TI responded: "The deglitch timer for termination is 30ms.  When the charge current decreases to 70mA for 30ms it will set charge complete.  This should work with your 1 second wake and 5 second sleep."
