How do I secure a wire to this Banana Plug?
« on: January 29, 2021, 11:56:38 pm »
Hey,

I found a couple of banana plugs lying around and can't figure out how to secure a wire to them.

Attaching photos - any pointers appreciated!

It looks like they are designed for soldering. See that notch on the side? That's where you apply solder after the wire is inserted. It can be tricky to solder parts like this, so make sure you have beefy soldering iron tip and plenty of flux.

Yep, I've used some that look just like that before, definitely solder. The bigger hole in the side is so that you can stack them.
