Title: How do I tell if farnell stock is UK or USA based.
Post by: TheBrick on October 22, 2012, 09:15:47 pm
Stupid question I'm probably missing some stupid icon but I was just looking to order some stuff from farnell and according to the link below items held in the uk are free delivery (with in the UK)

http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/bespoke/bespoke7.jsp?bespokepage=farnell/en_UK/support/webhelp/deliverytimesandcosts.jsp (http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/bespoke/bespoke7.jsp?bespokepage=farnell/en_UK/support/webhelp/deliverytimesandcosts.jsp)

my list of items though must have something that has to be ordered in from the us as I have a £15.95 delivery charge added but I can't tell which item(s) are coming from the US so I can alter my order. Am I missing some filter? Or some icon I can't seem to find any details. As I said stupid question.

in my basket, for products from US there's a note under the items. There's also a warning at the top of the page saying there's no returns or cancelling for them

see attached picture.

If you can't figure it out ...

Open each item you added to list in a new tab  (click on scroll wheel or right click , T  for "open in new tab")  then look at the page... at availability it says "US stock" if it's sent from US.

and you can exclude US stock from appearing in your search by clicking "Exclude extended range" in the filter box on the left.
