How do you pronounce Hakko? - Hack Co vs. Hay Co
solarity:
I have watched a lot of videos and seen people pronounce the name differently. Is this another sod - der vs. sol - der? I watched so much of eevblog that I started saying sol - der w/o realizing it and people here kept correcting me ><.
Edit: TL;DR; Hakko is pronounced Ha Co
Fsck:
Do you want to be an american or a worldly traveller?
Also, aegis: eh-gis vs eeee-gis.
AnyNameWillDo:
Looks like Hakko themselves say "Haw-ko" -- which makes sense if they're a Japanese company, in which case it'd be more like "haw(small pause)ko" when spoken in Japanese.
capt bullshot:
In Germany, the correct pronouncement of Hakko would be either Ersa or Weller ;)

LOL, don't really know which one is the American version, though according to the next post, both of what I am suggesting is wrong 0_o.
I guess I would rather call it what the company calls themselves. I don't like it when people pronounce my name incorrectly. :)
Granted this does not same them from a horrible UI for my FX-888D. It is an amazing Iron other than the UI. Though it is annoying when you are a newb and you try to change the temp, then you press a button and you see ADJ or "All your base are belong to us", instead of CAL for celebrate! Then there is the U for United States and A for Asia. Apparently C and F is to much for them. It is like running a marathon and giving up on the last mile. Well at least it looks nicer, though I would trade the nice looks for a better UI.
