How thin do you want solder paste?
« on: July 21, 2015, 05:55:58 pm »
I watched the sparkfun video about "rejuvenating" solder paste and what he thought was ideal was very thin, to the point where sitting for even a short time would flatten out the paste.

Is this really ideal?  If it is this thin, won't it spread out on the pcb?  Does anyone know of a better video that shows about how thin/thick it should be if this is too thin?

FWIW, the viscosity of Kester's EP256 is 1400 Poise, which would be similar to Ketchup out of the refrigerator IIRC.
