How to analyze long running voltage curve with scope

I have a circuit that produces a long running, up to 20 seconds, voltage curve. When the circuit is triggered, the voltage starts at 0V, peaks at +5V and then decays back to 0V. I have a Rigol 1054Z scope.

I'm trying to figure out how to show the entire curve from start to finish on the screen. So far I've only been able to get a portion of the start of the curve to show.

Is it possible to show the entirety of this voltage curve on this scope? If so what mode or settings do I need to use?

  I've never used a Rigol scope so I don't know it's capabilities but you need to trigger on the zero crossing from - to + and slow the sweep rate down to about 2 seconds per division.  If the Rigol has a Zoom feature or some form of storage you could zoom in different parts of the captured signal to get better detail.  This is one of the things that I love about the LeCroy DSO scopes, they usually come with very deep memories.

  If you can't slow the scope down that much or if you need to better detail of the signal  you may have to capture and study the waveform in multiple sections.

Yes, it's possible.  By default for the DS1054Z the trigger point appears at the middle of the screen, but you can move it to the left.

Set the horizontal sweep for 2.00 s per division, then from the smaller button above labeled <POSITION> move the small yellow arrow with a T on it until it D displays 10.0000000 seconds.

Ideally you would want to set the trigger for the falling edge.

You may want to read the manual, you will discover there the oscilloscope has tons of features.

Thanks for everyone's help! Using your suggestions I was able to get the curve to display. I had to use the Force button to start a trigger. I'm reading the manual now to see how the various triggers work.
