I've been looking around for instructions or videos on attaching coax to the Amphenol 172300 N-type RF connector, but am striking out.
The connector comes in three pieces, the main body that mounts on the chassis, as well as a solder nut and a contact pin. Haven't worked with this style before, and just want to make sure I get it right.

Usually there's a little drawing on the bag...
Their site doesn't have much info about it except the crimp die size and strip length. (https://www.amphenolrf.com/172300.html)

The Connector is made
For Use With: RG-401 0.250" Conformable Times Tflex 401, which is semi rigid cable and screws into the back of the connector

If you use other cable, it may not fit securely, you are supposed to strip the cable according to their measurements, solder the pin on the center and screw the cable into the back of the connector.

No.
You solder or crimp the pin, then screw the solder nut (with cable) into the back, then solder the nut to the cable.
You cannot use it for other cable, period. There’s no way to properly secure regular flexible coax, for example.
