How to connect this sensor??
« on: July 24, 2018, 10:43:28 am »
Hi folks :)

I want to connect this sensor to this wire. Unfortunately no solder should be used (high temp).

I just can't find a ceramic conector or some kind of crimp among the billions of connectos at Mouser :(

Any ideas??

I wish...

But its a temperature sensor, so it will be exposed to +200C.

So no soldering nor plastic :(

I think I found a solution... but ist very very DIY.

Maybe you can weld it, like a thermocouple junction, small electric welder with carbon electrode could do. Or spot weld it. Then use high temp insulator.

If I don't know how it works, I prefer not to turn it on.

What about using uninsulated crimps, like a butt or a ferrule?
