Ac-DC Adaptor

Hello,

I have a question. Why my AC-DC adaptor that should just have 5v DC, it shows 10v AC when I measure it with AC mode of voltmeter too?

What multimeter do you use? Measurement may be incorrect. Some cheap DMMs may show AC voltage (and mislead you) when simple DC battery is measured ac-readings-on-dc-supply

Does it measure 5VDC when you switch the meter to DC voltage?

If you measure ac it will be calibrated with the assumption that the source is ac.  It's a meter issue.  Don't believe what you see.

Yes, it measure 5v DC when I put it in DC mode!
