How to identify small IC's

(1/1)

Joseph_PDX:
Hello,

I am trying to identify a small IC, MSOP package I believe. It has an Analog Devices logo, 10 pins, is approximately 3mm square. The only other markings are D and 7S on another row.
I think it is a 12 bit DAC based on my research into galvanometer driver circuits, but would like to be sure WHICH Analog Devices 12 bit DAC.
The IC is in a circuit for a SLA printer that controls the galvo mirrors for positioning of the laser beam. It is immediately upstream of a UTC TL084 quad OpAmp. The CPU on the board is not functional but everything else seems to be working when I probe voltages and such so I wanted to try and tap into the circuit to see if I can make it function.
I would very much like to know how to look up IC's when they have little to no markings on them. I tried google for a while but I have not yet found anything to help guide me to identifying a chip like this.

Thank you
-Joseph

'D7S' marking on last page.

First datasheet result on google for 'Analog Devices D7S'
