AmScope SE400 purpose of metallic tool
« on: January 14, 2021, 03:09:22 pm »
Hi all, I just received my brand new SE400 microscope. In the package there is a metallic tool outlined in red in the attached picture.

Can someone explain what is the purpose of this "wrench"?! The manual does not mention it at all...

Thanks a lot,

Page 8 of the manual lists it as “tension adjustment wrench”. But it doesn’t refer to using it, even in the troubleshooting steps on focus tension...

Thanks for the tip. I looked up the exact name on google and found an answer: https://www.amscope.com/how-to-use-microscope
section "Adjusting Focus Tension".

Again, thanks a lot,
