For some reason I seem to not be able post pics inside the message text.
This is my procedure (that fails):
1. Click attachments and other options
2. Choose file
3. Choose inline mode
Below an example of how it looks when I do this...
[attachimg=1]
As you can see above... no picture.... just the forum code that should yield the picture inline.
What am I missing?

This has been broken for years (maybe closer to a decade soon?) and for some mystical reason, the admins simply can't get it either fixed or removed, so this broken feature creates endless confusion and threads like this.

You can still do it, but you have to do it in two steps. Type your post, attach your file, and save it. Then go to your post and get the url for the image. Then edit post to paste the url between the image tags:
[img]Url-here[/img]
Then you can have an image

In the General Technical Chat forum there is a long, sticky thread on this subject. There seems to be a number of ways that people have devised to work around this problem which is apparently known to the powers that be.
I added my own, nine step method to that long list. It is post #69 there. But you may like one of the other methods better. Good luck.

Multiple inline images ?
Can you Copy that image URL and add it into another post successfully ?
