How to size Schottky thermal for a bridge rectifier
« on: March 07, 2019, 02:09:16 pm »
Hello.
I want to rectify 360V@350mA secondary.
I will use 4 TO220 sic schottky rectifier rated @1200Vrrm.
Ir at rated Vr (Typ) = 10µA/25° 40µA/150°
Ir at rated Vr (Max) = 50µA/25° 150µA/175°
Datasheet : https://www.wolfspeed.com/media/downloads/75/C4D02120A.pdf

I am aware of the Tj runaway but how do I calculate the requirements to avoid exceeding the power dissipation of the diode ?

Thank you.
