| How to understand the functionality of analog Circuit |
| (1/1) |
| techguru:
Dear all, How to interpret the functionality of circuit? for example if my analog circuit contain 10 operational amplifier, How should i start the analysis and find the functionality of the circuit? By seeing the circuit i should understand the purpose of circuit. I know this is surely out of Experience and intuition but how to get and start my analog journey? I request you all to share your experience, It could be books or case study, etc. Help me in this regard.. |

I would start by interpreting the OpAmps in their basic circuit fucntion (buffer, non-inverting/inverting amplifier, integrator...) This gives at least at basic overview. /PeLuLe |

If the circuit is drawn properly, inputs will be on the left, outputs on the right. So, start on the left and think through to the right. It is helpful to know what the overall circuit is supposed to do. In my case, I use op amps for analog computing. The blocks will be inverters, summers or integrators. There are variations in the feedback capacitor size to speed up the simulation and some of the inputs use smaller resistors to provide a 10x gain at the summing junctions. This may not be the most common use of op amps! Do some research on the kinds of blocks that are built with op amps. Amplifiers, buffers and filters. The circuit design is usually just a collection of these basic blocks. |
