Identify destroyed components
« on: March 08, 2022, 11:11:01 pm »
I'm a kinda newbee on this field and wants to get better on repair of electronics.
My Hamron 30A Car battery Charger. Stoped working and i taken it apart.

I found quickly the 2 bad components.
Don't see something that can have caused it so want to try to change the to components that has blown.
Problem is that components are unreadable, and i have no schematics for the board.
One of the components seems like it's R92 who i guess is resistor number 92.
But how can i find out what value when it's destroyed like this.

The other component i'm not sure about. But i guess some here maybe know.

Another thing i find frustrating in other projects is nanoFarad and pikoFarad Capasitors. There never any marking. what value?

Is there a way to find without having the schematics?

R95 is the little black spec marked 913 next to the transistor or IC that had burned up leaving (6 positions) other could be a resistor?

You'll have to trace out the schematics yourself and then figure out what would likely fit "in the blanks". We can help you do the latter.

6 pin SMPS controllers are often from Richtek. The MOSFET will be shorted and the value of the CS resistor needs to be figured out.
And other likely damaged parts located.
The chance of success is low.
