Identification Of SMD Component
« on: July 02, 2023, 09:21:15 am »
Hello Forum,
I am trying to identify an SMD component marked 100TF. I have attached a photo and have looked through various SMD Data books, but to no avail.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, it will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul Thomas

Hard to verify without context but have a look at https://www.onsemi.com/download/data-sheet/pdf/fan3100t-d.pdf
Keyboard error: Press F1 to continue.

The SMD Component drives an IGBT via a 220R resistor. I have found that the IGBT has gone short circuit and took out the resistor. I'm concerned that I should replace this SMD part as well in case it has been cooked. Although it is not measuring a short, I want to know the internal circuit so as to make an informed decision.

thanks,

Paul

There is a block diagram in the datasheet. As long as you don't have a short from the output to either VDD or GND you should be fine. Even if it's not the correct datasheet I guess you can identify the output and measure accordingly.
