| Identify ITT diode |
| (1/1) |
| rdagger:
I'm trying to identify a diode. The only markings are ITT. It looks like a 1N4004, but it has a very low voltage drop of around .23V. It was in a full wave rectifier circuit. The date codes on the board are between 1977 and 1978. |
| Benta:
Could be a Schottky, something like a 1N5819. But if you measure forward voltage, you need to put something like 100 mA through the diode to get a meaningful result. |
| rdagger:
I retested by placing the diode in series with a 0.5A lamp. The voltage drop climbed to 0.35V. The same circuit with a 1N4005 showed a voltage drop of 0.82V |
| Benta:
Well, Schottky then. |
