Hi, im trying to replace IGBT's but problem is that its not manufactured anymore.. It's Infineon SGW30N60.. im looking now at equivalents.. can someone more experienced can tell which is better: HGTG30N60A4 IKFW50N60DH3 Links to datasheets are on names. Device i'm fixing is inverter welder.. Thank you for any help :) |

Both are too big, see Qg(tot) figure. Find something smaller (similar Qg, without compromising on the Vce(sat) at or near 30A spec), and comparable speed. Tim |

STGW35HF60WD There is similar.. but less powerfull.. original is 41A 250W this one 200W.. not sure how it affects welding .. maybe not use at max amperage? :) |

Any confirmation about STGW35HF60WD? |

Probably worth trying. Seems slower but I didn't notice if that was measured with a different R_G. If there's a slightly faster grade it might be good (although I'm guessing that might be the fastest grade in its family already, so nevermind). Usually IGBTs come in speed grades, where what's varying is not Qg but an intrinsic property, that trades off with Vce(sat), so you'll probably see that slightly higher on the faster version. Tim |
