IGBT for negative voltages
« on: October 04, 2015, 09:30:48 pm »
I need to design a circuit with IGBT to switch -800VDC (negative) with 100A to the load. I need to connect the 0V or ground on collector and -800VDC on the emitter. kindly suggest me ways to achieve this. I am trying with high side low side half bridge circuit with high side low side driver. while doing so, i dont think i understand the reference ground for the logic circuits and power side of the gate driver. kindly help

Regards

You need a fully isolated driver.

What's the voltage and load?
