IMU sensors + Wifi
« on: May 23, 2019, 09:20:05 am »
Hello,

I need to design a system where an IMU sends data by wifi to a central system ( to be chosen too).

For example I would think of an IMU sensor that is connected to raspberry zero. The raspberry zero sends the data by wifi to the central system which would be a raspberry pi B for example. The idea is to have many of these IMU sensors send data by wifi to the central system.

All i need from the IMU is the attitude ( orientation ) and the acceleration or velocity.

My questions are :

1 - Which good IMU would your recommand? and how do you do a benchmark for a sensor in general ( finding suppliers- by just googling it ?) ??
2 - What would you choose to send IMU measurements by WIFI ? an embedded system ( which one ) ? an arduino ( not very professional ) ?
3 - what would you choose as a central system ?

Thank you very much
