IR receiver - 1.8V?

(1/1)

Tantalum:
Hello

Is there a 1.7-1.8V IR receiver available somewhere???

I can't find any, everything seems to need at least 2.0V.  :(

Thanks

Twoflower:
If you have still the 3.3V available and only the level of the data line is the problem you simply need a level shifter for that to go from 3.3V down to 1.8V.

Tantalum:
Well, no I only have 1.8 available and and there is not much room left for a step-up boost converter.

Zero999:
This the only thing I could find, but it doesn't seem like it's what you need.

How many are you building?

If it's just the one off, then you'll probably find most ICs specified for 2V operation will work down to 1.8V, so long as the temperature isn't too low. Another thing you might want to consider is increasing the 1.8V rail to 1.9V or even 2V, which no doubt your 1.8V devices will tolerate.

The only other way is to build your own, from op-amps but I doubt there's room for that.
