Is Micsig DP10007 Differential probe suitable for SMPS work
« on: August 11, 2021, 10:10:57 pm »
Hi,

I'm looking for a Differential probe that can be used for SMPS work.  Originally I was looking at the HVP70, but they're not in stock, so then thought of the Micsig DP10007, but I'm not sure if the 700v max input is good enough for SMPS voltages. (230V mains input).

Links to the specs are below:
For the HVP70:  https://www.eevblog.com/product/hvp70/
For the Micsig probes:
1244141-0

It seems to me the HVP70 is more closely matched the to DP10013 than the DP10007, but would like clarification, and what are the key specs I should be focusing on.

I'd also like to know if the DP10007 could be used for  SMPS work.

Regards,
Sijmen.
