| Isolation Transformer - which one to get? |
| (1/1) |

Hello: I would like to hear suggestions. I plan to plug only my scope (Tek 2465B) and bench DMM (Agilent 34401A) to it. Before this posting I only know about those made by Tripp Lite, used at many hospitals. Thanks. |

If you try to float your scope and meter with an isolation transformer you may get to see one of the Tripp Lites units in a hospital. Search the forums for isolation transformers as this subject comes up almost weekly. The only answer is don't do it. |

Thanks for the video link. I stand corrected on what to plug in -- the power supply I am testing has to be plugged into the transformer, not the test equipment I am using. |

Never float your test equipment, only float the DUT (device under test). I'm happy we could save your life :) |
