| DMHC3025LSD H-Bridge Question |
| (1/1) |
| mribble:
I thought I understood h-bridge chips, but evidently I'm missing something with this chip so I need some help. Here is the datasheet for the chip I'm using (it's just 2 pmosfets and 2 nmosfets): https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/115/DMHC3025LSD-218720.pdf I'm powering this chip with 12V. Then to the 4 inputs on the hbridge I'm passing in P1G=0V, N1G=12V, P2G=0V, N2G=12V. The P pins are pmosfets. The N pins are nmosfets. So I thought this would effectively turn off all 4 mosfets, but I'm seeing an internal short in the chip. Can someone gently explain what I'm misunderstanding? Thanks in advance for the help! |

In simple terms for this device, the N-type mosfet is on when the gate is positive, the P-type is on when gate is at ground. I think you got N and P mixed up. |

You are correct. That was my mistake. Thanks! |
