JBC T210 and T245
Ysjoelfir:
As I already wrote as an answer to your private message to me: no, I can't, since I don't have a schematic for it, nor the program anymore. it was just cobbled together stuff that was lying around.
Either way that wouldn't help your cause. You need to find out WHY stuff is blowing up, not just "ah, this doesn't work, lets use another project".
Besides that, my DIY solution is rather simmilar to the one you linked to, at least in respect to the power switch part, so that wouldn't help you either.

Also building a DIY station JBC. Also interested in connecting the C210 handle.
What did the author do? Burned a station and deleted messages?
As far as I understand in DIY stations or for example, Liesto for the C210 knob reduces the value of mV.
It is also interesting how the original JBC station understands that the C210 is connected to it. On C210, there seems to be one additional positive contact.

I didn't notice until now, that he deleted all of his messages. What is this nonsense? |O
Yes, he blew his DIY solution but instead of trying to figure it out he wanted a ready to go circuit without any work for himself, at least that is what it seems like after this deletion orgy.
Also yes, the C210 seems to be sensed by the station by using that additional middle positive contact. I assume it measures some valie between GND and the middle contact, maybe a voltage or current. On one of the handpieces I have there is also a resistor connected to the middle pin, so that would support that.

What is your c210 handle? Chinese as I understand it? Can you give a link?
It would be interesting to understand what is changing in firmware when the station realized that a C210 handle is connected to it.
Or is it just that the resistor limits the current and this is where all the magic ends? :-DD

it's this one. Don't know where JBC produces their handles. https://www.weidinger.eu/shop/loettechnik/jbc/jbc_loet-_und_entloetgeraete/jbc_loet-_entloetkolben/wl13282

I assume it changes pretty much nothing, except maybe some PID parameters. in my DIY station I don't care which tool is conected. if it heats, it heats. the thermo junction is identical, so the software can handle both.

I doubt that you would like to hold a resistor in your hand, that reduces the current from a PSU capable of delivering 50 Watts to something a 20 watts iron can handle ;)
